Senator Brownback of Kansas is speaking about the legacy of Ronald Reagan. He referenced what he calls the Reagan Cultural Doctrine and how some have criticized that Alzheimer's research should be conducted with stem cells. Senator Brownback refuted that this claim would be consistent with Reagan's Cultural Doctrine and that the President would have been steadfastly against this practice which he believes is an assault on innocent human life. President Reagan's wife, Nancy Reagan, recently said that the Bush Administration's stem cell research policy was standing in the way of a potential cure for Alzheimer's.
