Following some debate on the energy bill, the Senate has adjourned for the week.

Today, the Senate will continue its work on the energy policy bill and a separate bill to reduce US dependence on foreign oil by encouraging investment in renewable sources and alternative fuels and discouraging oil and gas production. The Majority Leader said that he believes the Senate can and must finish both the energy policy bill and the immigration bill before the July 4th recess.
