The Race for the Cure

More than 3,820 runners and walkers - over 204 of them breast cancer survivors - participated in the 2000 Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Vermont Race for the Cure, which was held on Sunday, July 30 at Hildene's Meadowlands in Manchester. The race is the largest 5K in Vermont, and 75 percent of net proceeds go to breast cancer education, screening, and treatment programs in Vermont. The 2001 Race will be held on Sunday, July 29.
