“Chairman Sensenbrenner and Congressman Conyers have done a superb job in securing a balanced agreement and in striving to be fair to all sides.  I support their efforts.  

“At the time of our hearing in May all parties were dissatisfied with the decision of the CARP.  It was clear to me then that if they were unable to resolve this themselves, Congress might have to step in to ensure a fair result.  I congratulate our House colleagues in doing that.  I have told Chairman Sensenbrenner and Congressman Conyers that I will support Senate action on the bill when it arrives from the House.  Time is short in this congressional session, but I believe that final action on this solution is possible.”
